VTA has provided structural engineering services for a variety of structures including institutional buildings, hospitals, schools, aerospace facilities, and various industrial, and commercial building structures. We have worked on projects utilizing different building materials such as concrete, masonry steel, wood, aluminum, etc. in a myriad of settings. Our experience also includes the provision of structural services for non-building and non-standard structures including: equipment conduits; equipment platforms; tanks for water and chemical storage; environmental and power plants; pipe supports; light poles; storage racks; floor and wall mounted control panels; cabinets; seismic anchorages for various mechanical and electrical equipments (both existing and new) such as emergency generators, cooling towers, chiller units, transformers, emergency battery packs, cable trays, units suspended from the floor or roof, floor mounted boiler units, heat exchangers, radiators, gas bottles and cell phone towers. We have also provided structural calculations and details for heavy equipment foundations for chiller units, cooling towers, blowers, floor mounted or suspended pipe-supports with seismic bracings and heavy hospital equipment (e.g. MRI units, floor /ceiling suspended heavy units like X-ray, etc). Our team has experience in providing the full range of consulting services including: complete structural design; structural observations, assessments; lateral force analysis (e.g. wind, seismic); construction cost estimates and support services during construction.
